Democrat Shyam Reddy has announced his candidacy for Georgia Secretary of State

IACPA - Democrat Shyam Reddy has announced his candidacy for Georgia Secretary of State.
Born, raised and educated in Dublin, Georgia, Reddy received a B.A. in Political Science and Masters in Public Health from the Emory University.
Upon graduation from the University of Georgia Law School, he began his career as a corporate attorney in the Atlanta office of Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, and went on to representing several Fortune 500 companies as well as small and medium-size businesses. Reddy said that in deciding to join the fray for Secretary of State’s post he was guided by several reasons, including the desire to foster a business-friendly environment in Georgia, increase voter participation, help prevent investment fraud, provide excellent service to the State’s licensed professionals, promoting public health and safety of Georgia’s citizens by overseeing licensed professionals in an effective and efficient manner and preserving Georgia’s rich cultural history.
Reddy serves on the Board of The Indus Entrepreneurs, a group dedicated to helping and mentoring local entrepreneurs, and the Board of the Red Clay Democrats, an organization dedicated to energizing Georgia’s next generation of Democrats. He is also an active member of The Technology Association of Georgia, The Georgia Bar and The Indus Bar and part of the 2005 L.E.A.D. Atlanta Class of Leadership Atlanta.
