DEMOCRAT SHYAM REDDY ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR GEORGIA SECRETARY OF STATE

Khabar Magazine - Born, raised and educated in Georgia, Dublin-native Shyam Reddy enters the race with a fiscally conservative, socially responsible upbringing that fostered in him a duty to be in public service. As a child of Indian immigrants, Reddy was taught the importance of serving his community, state and country from an early age.
A graduate of the Dublin, Georgia public school system, Reddy attended Emory University, where he received his B.A. in Political Science and his Master’s in Public Health. Upon graduation from the University of Georgia Law School, he began his career as a corporate attorney in the Atlanta office of Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, an international law firm with a history going back over 130 years. Representing Fortune 500 companies as well as small and medium-sized businesses, Reddy knows what it takes to be successful in both the business and legal arenas.
He serves on the Board of the Indus Entrepreneurs, a group dedicated to helping and mentoring local entrepreneurs, and the Board of the Red Clay Democrats, an organization dedicated to energizing Georgia’s next generation of Democrats. Reddy is also an active member of the Technology Association of Georgia, the Georgia Bar and the Indus Bar and he’s part of the 2005 L.E.A.D. Atlanta Class of Leadership Atlanta.
