I have a vision for Georgia. I believe in building a Georgia that doesn’t tolerate mediocrity, but rather strives for excellence. I believe in action, not empty talk. I believe in cultivating the fighting spirit in all of us to make Georgia a better place. And I believe in a Georgia where our parents and grandparents can be free from scam artists and abusive nursing home managers, where democracy flourishes and every single person’s vote counts, and where the government belongs to the people, not the other way around.

I am running for Secretary of State to stand up, fight for, and protect every single Georgian. I believe it’s time to get tough on investment scam artists and abusive nursing home operators, and I’m ready to fight voter disenfranchisement and intimidation wherever it occurs. With experience as a leading investment and elections law attorney in Atlanta, I’ll put my background to work for you to protect your rights and win the fight against fraud.

A New Brand of Southern Democrat

As Secretary of State, I will be ushering in a new brand of Southern Democratic leadership that is founded upon deep and abiding Georgian values and calls on all of us to strive for excellence to build the Georgia of tomorrow.

I am that new brand of Southern Democrat because:

• I am fiscally conservative and socially responsible.

• I have the right professional and educational experience for the job.

• I believe in Georgia’s people NOT the backroom politics of yesterday.

• I believe in accountability and open government.

• I don’t believe in business as usual – I will strive for EXCELLENCE to build a better Georgia rather than tolerate mediocrity like so many of our elected officials.

• I will foster an environment that cultivates the entrepreneurial spirit in everyone.

• I believe that working families and business fuel the economy. They’re not mutually exclusive.  Right now, one party says it’s for the people while the other is for business. We need elected officials who represent both equally well.
  

• I believe in optimistic, solution-driven government that rises above partisan politics to serve the people of Georgia, not political careers.
  

• I believe in hard work and the opportunities that freedom and democracy provide for all citizens.

I’m running for public office because I care about Georgia, its people and its heritage. At various points in my life, I’ve had opportunities to leave, but I’ve chosen to stay here. Georgia is my home. Now it’s time to give back to the state that has given me and my family so much.
